You can see the districts of Minsk on the map of the Belarusian capital - having familiarized yourself with their features, it will be easier for you to plan your recreation program.

Names and descriptions of districts of Minsk

  • Central: located on the banks of the Komsomolskoye Lake and the Svisloch River, famous for architectural monuments and pavilions of BelEXPO (exhibition halls).
  • Soviet: this area is located in the north of the city, has factories ("Promsvyaz", "Udarnik"), has on its territory the Zlatogorsk church, monuments to Akrestin and Yakub Kolas.
  • Partisan: in this area, located in the east of the city, there is a bust of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, monuments to Dzerzhinsky and Tsiolkovsky, as well as a monument-tractor.
  • Pervomaisky (the area of the district is 2640 hectares, where green spaces and water surface are located): famous for the High-Tech Park, the National Library, the Children's Railway, and the Kalinin monument.
  • Zavodskoy: this district includes the Shabany, Angarskaya, Chizhovka microdistricts (the name of the district is justified - a bearing plant, an automobile plant and other industrial enterprises are located here).
  • Leninsky: this area includes the Loshitsa and Serebryanka microdistricts.
  • Moskovsky: occupying an area of 1800 hectares, more than 46 hectares of this area belongs to the green zone.
  • Frunzensky: in this area you can find the Minsk Ice Palace and the Longevity health and fitness complex.
  • Oktyabrsky: the main transport arteries of Minsk are concentrated here, and this area includes the national airport “Minsk”, the industrial zone of Kolyadichi and the village of Sokol.

Attractions of the main areas

On excursions in the Central District, travelers will be offered to inspect the Victory Monument, the Holy Spirits Cathedral and the Trinity Suburb (there are shops, museums, a restaurant, a souvenir shop on its territory). As for families with small children, they should spend time in Gorky Park and Dreamland Amusement Park.

Since the Slepyanskaya water system is located on the territory of the Partizansky district, while exploring this area, travelers in the warm season will be able to fish, spend time in the beach area, and capture themselves in a photo against the backdrop of nature.

The Zavodskoy district is famous not only for industrial enterprises, so on vacation in Minsk you can see the monument to Lenin, the busts of Chaikina, Koshevoy, Gerasimenko and others. And if we talk about specific microdistricts of the Zavodskoy district, then the dolphinarium and the zoo can become excellent recreation places on Chizhovka, and the Shabany bath and recreation complex (sauna, solarium, gym and halls where aqua aerobics and dancing classes are held) on Shabany.

If you are interested in the sights of the Leninsky District, then these include the presidential residence, the officers' house, the Kupala National Academic Theater, and the Senko Brothers monument.

And of the sights of the Moscow region, the building of the Red Church and the mosaic panel "October" deserve the attention of the guests.

Where to stay for tourists

Tourists are recommended to stay in the historical center of Minsk - in the area of Pobediteley and Nezavisimosti avenues. They can book a room in hotels on Lenin, Myasnikov, Sverdlov, Frunze and others streets. And guests on a budget can find hotels in the central part of Minsk within the first transport ring.
