The Chapada dos Veadeirus Conservation Area is located in the state of Goias and covers an area of 655 sq. km. The official foundation date of the park is January 11, 1961. The park is a protected area of Brazil and is included in the UNESCO list as a World Heritage Site.

Chapada dos Veadeyrus is a plateau that is 1.8 billion years old. The average annual temperature is 24-26 degrees Celsius, the maximum does not exceed 42 degrees, and the minimum does not fall below 4. The highest point is the Serra da Santana peak - 1691 m above sea level. And the total height of the park ranges from 600 to 1650 m above sea level. With such indicators, Chapada dos Veadeyrus is the highest plain in central Brazil.

Quartz stands out from the rocks of the protected area; in some places, crystals that have come to the surface can be found. Also on the territory of Chapada dos Veadeirus there are a large number of waterfalls. The largest of these is the Rio Preto Falls. Its height is 120 meters.

The flora of the park is represented by numerous plants of wooded savannahs. Separately, the family of orchids can be distinguished; in Chapada dos Veadeyrus, there are about 25 of its representatives. Pepper trees, palms and many others also grow in large numbers in the protected area.

The protected area is inhabited by swamp deer, armadillos, warlike jaguars, tapirs. Vultures and toucans predominate among birds.
