Description of the attraction

The main street of Kemer is Ataturk Boulevard, known for its monument to the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal. He is depicted here releasing a white dove of peace into the sky. In front of the monument there are dancing fountains, surrounded on all sides by a marble floor. Not far from the monument there is a snow-white clock tower - the symbol of Kemer.

Ataturk Boulevard starts at the entrance to Kemer and consists of three sections. The first section, from the ring to the fork on Primorskaya street, runs along the Kemer Resort beach (200 meters from the sea) and on the left side is built up with new five-star hotels. The second part is the road to the city center to the bus station. The third section of the boulevard is a shopping street with many shops, souvenir shops, small cafes and restaurants. The boulevard crosses a small river. Usually there is almost no water in it, but after heavy rains or melting snow in the mountains, the river becomes quite turbulent.

On Mondays, one of the most famous markets in Kemer works on the boulevard. Locals sell juicy fruits, ripe vegetables and aromatic spices here. All this costs 2-3 times cheaper here than on stalls in the city. They also sell textiles, knitwear and leather goods, which you should definitely bargain for.

The central city bus station is also located on Ataturk Boulevard, from where intercity buses leave for nearby towns and Antalya.
