Description of the attraction

The Underwater World Oceanarium is the oldest and most popular in Singapore. This main attraction of the entertainment complex of Sentosa Island presents the underwater life of all the seas and oceans of our planet. His aquariums are home to more than three thousand specimens of representatives of the marine fauna, including some fossil species that have not been preserved anywhere else.

The Oceanarium was created in the early nineties of the last century. Reconstruction in 2010 allowed him to maintain a leading position in Asia.

Most of the aquariums are located underground along a transparent acrylic ring tunnel over 80 meters long. On the moving walkway, visitors feel like they are part of the underwater world, with colorful corals and algae, small reef fish and huge sharks. At certain times, you can see how scuba divers feed numerous representatives of the oceans.

For those wishing to get to know the sea animals closer, there are outdoor pools. The sensory pool, where you can touch different marine life with your hands, is specially designed for children. Extreme lovers can feed the sharks. For the curious, there are exhibitions of historical exhibits and stands telling about the biology, anatomy and ecology of the inhabitants of the deep water.

Both children and parents are pleased with the Dolphin Lagoon. There you can see performances of fur seals and unusual pink dolphins. If you wish, you can even swim with them.

A comfortable environment has been created for all the inhabitants of the aquarium, which allows a variety of biological species to constantly live and reproduce - from sea eagles and horses to rare species of sharks. The Oceanarium is a permanent participant in environmental and educational projects, as well as a member of environmental programs.

The total number of visitors to the aquarium since its opening has long exceeded 30 million people.
