Description of the attraction

The Museum of Recycled Materials is perhaps one of the most unusual museums in Kiev. This museum is located on the territory of the plant, which is engaged in the processing of things that have served their time. On some things, the workers of the plant simply do not raise their hands to destroy them, they just made up the collection of the museum, popularly called the museum of antiques.

The museum began to collect its collection in the middle of the twentieth century, almost when the plant itself appeared. The collection of the museum is simply replenished - the most interesting things that are found in the trash are simply not destroyed. In addition, local residents, knowing about the existence of such a museum, themselves began to bring here ancient items that they no longer needed. Thanks to this, it was possible to assemble a unique collection of antiques and exotic things, and many of them have been exchanged for the third hundred years.

All the exhibits of the museum are housed in two expositions - one is located on the territory of the plant itself, the other is in the open air. The largest exhibits of the museum remained on the street, and the rest - in a small wooden house. Here you can find almost everything that was previously appreciated by our ancestors. This is an old samovar and a pre-revolutionary gramophone, an old sleigh and a machine that made it possible to process hemp into coarse cloth, and even a set of gendarmerie, with the help of which people under investigation were tortured. You can also find in the museum a device that performed in the 18th century the same work that is now entrusted to walkers. Among the children's items there is also an antique doll and a stroller.

The museum also has a wide range of rare things that are difficult to find in other museums. For example, one of the first vacuum cleaners in the Russian Empire, a camera, lamps, etc. feel good here. Thanks to its collection, the museum is just a treasure trove for film studios filming historical films.
