The waterfalls of the Dominican Republic, the visit of which tourists will include in their excursion program, are able to amaze their imagination in the best sense of the word.

El Lemon

The path to the 55-meter waterfall (the color of its water is greenish-yellow) can be overcome with a guide on a horse - tourists will be offered to take it to a ranch near the village of El Limon. Since they will encounter a lake on the way, into which El Limon flows, it is worth swimming in its cool waters after a horse ride (there is a small grotto under the stream). And for a small reward, local residents entertain tourists by jumping into the lake from the rocks (you should not repeat them, since there are sharp stones at the bottom of the lake).

La Jalda

It is a 120-meter waterfall - it is located on the Magua River. Tourists are offered to go on foot (there are 2 walking paths leading to the waterfall) or horseback excursion, which will allow them to admire La Halda and the unspoiled beauty of the surrounding places. It is worth noting that those who wish can be transported here by air (there is a helicopter pad).

Aguas Blancas

Travelers will be able to climb to the 83-meter waterfall along a metal bridge with handrails, and admire it from equipped observation platforms (everyone will see the water falling down there, which turns into white foam - hence the name of the waterfall, which in Spanish means “Waterfall of white waters”). Important: the route will pass along a mountain road, since the waterfall is located at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level.

El Salto Jimenoa

The height of this waterfall is 60 m, and its waters flow down in cold streams (the water does not have time to heat up, because in the area where El Salto Jimenoa is located, the temperature fluctuates between + 16-22˚ C). Important: you can only admire the waterfall, but swimming and swimming in the pool (strong current), which it forms, is prohibited (you can die under the jets of the "giant").

27 waterfalls

Having gone on an excursion, a local guide will lead tourists along different routes, during which you can see a different number of waterfalls (the road passes along winding paths and rope ladders). Prices: a route involving a visit to 7 waterfalls costs 280, 12 - 340, and 27 - 500 Dominican dollars (price includes guide services, helmet and life jacket rental). Advice: for a start, you should buy a ticket for a short route in order to assess your strength, and children, pregnant women and people who are not very fit are not recommended to go through this “route” at all.
