This South American country boasts a variety of natural sites, including miles of beaches, tropical jungles and forests, rivers that are home to animals and birds, and waterfalls in Argentina.

Iguazu Falls

They represent a cascade of 275 waterfalls (the width of this complex is almost 3 km), 2/3 of which belong to Argentina. For a close acquaintance with them, it is recommended to stay in Puerto Iguazu (buses run from here to the waterfalls every half hour) - this town has a developed tourist infrastructure and a large selection of economy-class hotels.

About 2 million travelers visit Iguazu every year: viewing platforms and bridges have been created for them (allowing a better view of all streams), as well as platforms where the local population, dressed in national costumes, entertains them with dances and songs.

Daredevils are offered to experience the Macuco Safari attraction - an extreme entertainment is to sweep under the waterfalls on a motor boat (accommodates up to 20 passengers; cost - 170 reais / 1 person). The tour looks like this: tourists are put into an open-top truck that transports them through the rainforest (along the way, the guide talks about local attractions). Then they are invited to make a descent down to the river to go on an exciting water adventure.

It is worth noting that in the vicinity of the waterfalls hotels and campings have been built, as well as automobile and hiking routes (since the path lies at the foot of the water beauties, tourists are offered to take waterproof clothing with them).

Popular waterfalls

The Devil's Throat is an 82-meter waterfall (150 m wide) resembles a horseshoe in shape and is located in the middle between the Brazilian and Argentine borders. Due to the large force of the water falling (14 powerful streams) of this waterfall, tourists cannot stay dry while walking to the heart of this whirlpool (for this, a bridge was built here). Having examined the "Devil's Throat", travelers can continue their excursion through the park (here they will meet with noses - animals that are not only not afraid of people, but also constantly beg for food from them), going upstairs on a special elevator.

Among other waterfalls, the attention of travelers deserves the Bossetti Falls - it is located on the Argentine side of the cascade, in the upper step, not far from the Adam and Eve cascade. If we talk about the waterfalls located in the lower step, then these include the cascade called “Three Musketeers”, but it will be possible to see it well only from the Brazilian side of the national park.
